EA Sports has announced which players will hold the highest ranks when FIFA 23 launches worldwide on September 30th. Some ranks make sense, others leave us scratching our heads.

Messi who has been regularly in the top two for 13 years can be seen that his lustre begins to fade elite football moves slowly into a brave new era.
Ronaldo made an excellent return to Manchester United and had to start off the bench for much of the season. He has made seven appearances for United in all competitions, but has yet to score or assist this season, making him 3rd in FIFA ranking.
