Christiano Ronaldo Coming Off The Bench and Scored His 700th Club Goal After Matche Against Everton

Cristiano Ronaldo came off the bench to score his 700th club goal as Manchester United beat Everton 2-1 at Goodison Park.

Anthony Martial’s injury provided Ronaldo with a first-half chance after Anthony cancelled out Alex Iwobi’s early strike. Ronaldo didn’t waste his chances, scoring before the break on his first Premier League goal of the season.

Marcus Rashford thought he scored the three points late in the game but his goal was ruled out for unintentional handball. But, despite Everton’s efforts to tie the game late, it all fell through as United secured a well-deserved victory.

As a result, Eric Ten Haag’s side clinched their fifth Premier League win in six games, seeing United recover from a derby defeat and lift them to fifth in the table. Everton are in 12th and their six-match unbeaten streak has come to an end.

Everton enjoyed an ideal start. An in-form Iwobi rolled the ball away from David de Gea outside the penalty box, sparking wild celebrations among the home fans. It was another slow start for United and Casemiro was to blame for being stripped of his rights.

But Everton couldn’t hold on to their lead and Anthony was punished midway through the first half for a skilful finish after being broken by Martial. They can only blame themselves when Idrissa Gueye concedes the ball. This is a symptom of what is to come.

There was another caveat when Casemiro headed wide unmarked. Give Ronaldo this space and the result is inevitable. This happened when Iwobi was tackled by Casemiro and the Brazilian passed the ball to Ronaldo without Conor Coady.
