In recent times, Aaron and Wooi Yik demonstrated their prowess by clinching a coveted bronze medal at the prestigious World Championships held in Copenhagen. Meanwhile, Pearly and Thinaah found their stride and self-assurance on the court, culminating in a commendable journey to the finals of the Hong Kong Open. As for Tang Jie and Ee Wei, their meteoric ascent in the rankings is nothing short of remarkable, achieving a career-high global ranking in a mere nine months.
Rexy Mainaky, the director of doubles coaching at the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM), expressed his confidence in the team’s physical condition, stating, “The players are all in prime form.”
Given the constraints of time, the primary emphasis during the remaining days of preparation will be placed on enhancing the athletes’ mental resilience, their state of preparedness, and their overall physical fitness.
